Credo
Emporium (that into which we have bought) |
|
Emperor
Norton org
is dedicated to promoting the factual history of Norton-1 as best we can
know it. We shall not, however, refrain from including well credited absurdities
befitting Our Sovereign's legend. Nor shall we refrain from campaigning
on His behalf, in particular for the renaming of the Oakland Bay Bridge
to the more fitting Emperor
Norton Bridge (restated here in case you
skipped our homepage where we beat on the point ad nauseum.) We are adherents to Norton-1's exemplary three political principles, i.e.: |
|
1.
E Pluribus Unum (1
of these things is not like the others--but it belongs) 2. Stare Decisis (hang tuf) 3. E Clampus Vitus (sic) 4. Credo Quia Absurdum (I believe because it's absurd.) |
|
Four! Four political principles:
1. E Pluribus
Unum (infinite
diversity thru infinite combination) 2. Stare Decisis (facts to the contrary are irrelevant) 3. E Clampus Vitus (ibid.) 4. Credo Quia Absurdum ("The absurd is the essential concept and the first truth.") [Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus, 1942] 5. Non illigitamus carborundum (Don't let the bastards grind you down.) |
|
Five! Five political principles. But that's not important right now.
